Lending you a helping hand
I'm so glad you found my page. Whether it's your first time in therapy or you are an experienced participant, asking for help can be scary!
If you found me, you may struggle to find self confidence or a positive relationship with yourself, you may also feel anxious or depressed. Your self defeating thoughts may be debilitating. Perhaps your relationships suffer. You aren't feeling like your authentic self and it takes a toll on your mental health.
As your therapist I can help you think differently about yourself and others in order to improve your confidence and reduce anxiety/depression. During the therapeutic process I will help improve your coping skills where needed and other times will simply provide you with a judgment free space for you to explore self acceptance and your authentic self.
I come from community mental health so I have experience working with a large variety of needs. Before graduate school I obtained my certificate in addiction counseling and have knowledge of the 12 steps program. My approach is collaborate, strength based and using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I have extensive training in CBT for anxiety, depression and trauma. My training and experience help me be an effective therapist but research shows that what is more effective is a positive relationship between therapist and client. Your feedback is always valuable as we go down this journey together. I aim to always be your ally.
